Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of PocketLedger, including the website, account features, MCP server, OAuth integration, Google Sign-In, and AI assistant tools.

Use of the service
PocketLedger is designed for personal expense tracking, transaction search, category organization, and spending summaries. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for reviewing any transaction created through chat or connected AI tools.
Not financial advice
PocketLedger provides software tools and informational summaries. It is not a bank, accountant, tax advisor, financial advisor, investment service, or legal advisor. You should verify reports before relying on them for financial, tax, legal, accounting, investment, or filing decisions.
Accounts and sign-in
You may create an account with email and password or Continue with Google when Google OAuth credentials are configured. You are responsible for keeping your account secure, using an email account you control, and notifying PocketLedger if you suspect unauthorized access.
ChatGPT and MCP access
When you connect PocketLedger through ChatGPT or another MCP-compatible assistant, you approve OAuth scopes that allow the assistant to use PocketLedger tools on your behalf. These tools may read account data, read transactions, generate reports, or perform write actions depending on the scopes you approve.
Write tools can create, update, delete, restore, or undo transactions. You are responsible for reviewing actions made through connected assistants and disconnecting integrations you no longer use.
Acceptable use
- Do not use PocketLedger to store unlawful, harmful, abusive, or deceptive content.
- Do not attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits, OAuth consent, or security controls.
- Do not misuse MCP or OAuth endpoints in a way that disrupts PocketLedger or other users.
- Do not interfere with the service, infrastructure, logs, tokens, or connected clients.
- Do not reverse engineer private service components except where allowed by law.
Billing
PocketLedger does not currently offer paid plans or checkout. If billing is introduced later, pricing, renewal rules, cancellation rules, and subscription terms will be published before users are charged.
Availability and changes
PocketLedger aims to remain reliable, but the service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, outages, security work, third-party provider issues, or events outside our control.
PocketLedger may change, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service as the product, ChatGPT app platform, OAuth requirements, and MCP standards evolve.
Termination
You may stop using PocketLedger at any time. PocketLedger may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service, misuse connected tools, or use the product unlawfully.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PocketLedger is provided as-is without warranties. PocketLedger is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, missed records, incorrect user-entered data, or financial losses from reliance on generated summaries.
Privacy
Your use of PocketLedger is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains what data is collected, how it is used, and how export and deletion requests work.
